How do I get around Charlotte, NC next week during Speedway wee?

More specifically I need to get from the Dunhill hotel to the Hertz rental car office at the airport the evening of the 24th and then out of town heading towards Greensboro. Can you advise of what transportation I should use to get to the airport and the best routes out of town towards Greensboro?|||You need to ask the Dunhill if they have a shuttle to the airport. The shuttle will move along all of the car rental bays. They are all side by side, just like pit road. Pick up your car, and leave the airport, following the signs to I 85 and go north. On the 24th is CTC poll night, traffic is never bad then, unless there is an accident. It will be the following weekend (Memorial weekend) when the population of Charlotte triples. Just follow I 85 north all the way to Greensboro, (about an hour and a half). Anytime you are in NC, you can call 511 on your cell phone and get free traffic and travel info. It will tell you where there is construction, wrecks, debris in the road...you name it. you can also access this information at www.ncdot.org and go to travel information.
